AS SEEN ON IG

There's no way you missed the biggest news as of late: Taylor Swift got engaged! Did you know that Travis consulted us about which bottle of Bask she would love the most? We kid, of course, but how could she have said no to 50 spray? Another celebratory moment in August was our window display at C.O. Bigelow in Greenwich Village in NYC. We custom-designed it with their team to showcase all of our favorite images (and products) on pedestals (where they should be).

SUMMER READING LIST

Welcome to another round-up from Baskforce member and resident #BookTok queen Nicole Pearce (IGTikTok). This month, she's sharing some of her books she'll be reading this fall.

  • Different Seasons by Stephen King
This is a collection of four Novelas by Steven King. So far, I’ve only read the first one—Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. I loved it. I’m one of the only people on this planet who has not seen the movie, so it was a new story for me.
  • Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano
This is the book that we are reading for my neighborhood book club. I’ve heard of it, of course—it was super popular when it came out—but I know nothing about it beyond that. Excited to read it.

  • Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green
I’m in the mood to read some nonfiction, and I keep seeing this one recommended everywhere. I’m very intrigued.

  • And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
When I was a little girl, I was absolutely obsessed with Agatha Christie. I think I read every single one of her books, but that was decades and decades ago and I honestly can’t remember a single thing from any of her books. And it’s time for a reread—so I’m starting with this one.

FOUNDER FAVES

Britt
  • I love and highly recommend these little fiber bites from Fiome, especially the banana cinnamon. A tasty way to get some more fiber in your diet!
  • A few of my fall fashion faves. Some cute stripes for fall that are great with denim, chinos, shorts or even leggings. Number one and two
  • I'm such a fan of this brand (2 months in a row in here 😬). I have a few pieces and the fabric is so nice. Pricey but great quality! Drape me in this. Not even a plaid girl at all, but yes.
  • Some cute kids stuff I'm loving! I cant resist a vintage balloon jean or baggy pants with a cute oversized tee for kids. I know but like how cute! And OSO and Me is having a sale right now.
Mikey
  • What I'm watching: The Pitt on HBO is fantastic, each episode is an hour of a 12 hour shift at an ER room in Pittsburgh. I highly recommend The Dallas Cowboys documentary series on Netflix. I'm not even a Cowboys fan, but it's gripping, a great exploration of personalities (and personalities clashing) with great production value that explores the dynasty that was...but could have been more.
  • What I'm reading: When the Going Was Good by Graydon Carter. Carter was at the center of media, culture, and politics in 1980s and 1990s New York. The book is full of anecdotes and name-dropping from that era, and if you’re into "magazine world" gossip (I am!) and stories from the Vanity Fair set, it’s fun to dip into.
  • Hero bread! Low cal, high protein, high fiber, clean ingredients, no bad oils. I've been using the buns at lunch, and Britt has been loving the bagels.
  • This comfortable (AF) walking shoe you can walk 5 miles in but also wear out to dinner.
