The Beach Read Vol. 11
Around The Web
Zuck thinks his headset is better. We can't stop thinking about The Wonka Experience (and how LA hosted a satirical version of their own). It sold for $500 million, but is this a real Da Vinci? Stripping down for the Bare Necessities Norwegian Cruise - clothes aren't optional, they're banned. Everyone needs a pair of these Pringles x Crocs. A who's who guide on Taylor's The Tortured Poets Department. A DIY umbrella stand. The rise and fall of the queen of AirBnB. An interview with Larry David. Inside the cutthroat, costly, and utterly ridiculous world of the Westminster Dog Show. Drug resistant bacteria found in space. The Spice Girls reunited for Posh's 50th. Speaking of the Beckhams, David is suing Marky Mark. The argument for the Oxford comma. You have to see how a bee's stinger works. The story of the LA tee time black market.

We recently launched our first new product in 2 years that we've been meticulously developing since before we even launched the brand: Daily Invisible Gel. You're gonna be obsessed. Oh, and Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon were spotted Basking up and having a blast at Justin Timberlake's charity golf event (Click the image to watch the video!)
Bask's Guide to Swimwear
Summer starts on May 27th (by Bask's calendar), and our co-founder Brittany has put together a list of must-have swimwear for the glorious weather.
Women's Swim
- I love the colors and how fun the print is on this ultra-flattering one piece by Beach Riot.
- That cool black and white piping trend in active wear is making its way into swim. This is a cool, sporty look.
- Love the chili pepper red! Def a sexy top/color… and fun for the 4th!
- When I was pregnant I wore Hunza G suits ALL the TIME. They're so comfy, so stretchy, and they really do look good on everyone (apparently so does the color purple).
- Love the yellow stripe for a northeast summer, and sweet flower detail on the top/bottom.
Men's Swimwear
- Not every swimsuit needs to look like a Jackson Pollack painting or the wallpaper in a Palm Beach bathroom. Sometimes it’s nice to have a comfortable, solid-color, “basic” suit like this one from Duvin.
- My husband loves snoopy padel. And I love that this comes in sizes for adults and kids, so I bought a pair for him and our son so they can match.
- We love a good candy-stripe on a men’s suit.
- Neutral tones with a cool vintage print and shorter length. You can pair this with any color shirt and a simple pair of espadrilles.
Founder Faves
Britt
- I love Hacks on HBO and season three just came out.
- Worn by supermodels in London and dads in Ohio…and this mom in Coconut Grove.
- Look For Me There by Luke Russert is available in paperback!
- BeyBey is such a welcome addition to Sunset Harbor.
Mikey
- Disney War is a wild, behind the scenes look at the Disney C-suite in the Eisner years. It’s filled with backstabbing, dysfunction, and accidental success. It’s also a nostalgic trip for anyone who grew up on Disney movies (is that everyone?). Couldn’t put it down.
- During the saga that was our fulfillment center going out of business, I pulled a few all nighters packing orders. During one session I rewatched The Last Dance on Netflix - the story of Michael Jordan and Bulls. It’s so well made, the interviews are incredible, there’s great drama, and he was truly a man possessed to win.
- Frank Prisinzano is an Italian restauranteur and chef in NYC whose Instagram highlights teach you how to cook all the food in his restaurants. Some highlights include: the crispy egg, spaghetti limone, lightning kale.
- While we’re on food. This is a legitimately delicious dessert, very healthy. I’ve made it 20 times, it’s quick & easy, and it always hits. Perfectly light and refreshing for spring and summer too!
- I swear by this beach wagon. Folds up, can pull a lot of weight, wheels actually handle the sand. Also can apparently carry 30 Bask orders at a time to the post office.
