Just one thing left to do. Dust off the suitcase and begin the dreadful task of packing. How many nights are going out to dinner? What toiletries do you need, and are the small enough for TSA?

  • I've been loving this brand new hair primer from The Girl Habit.
  • With the launch of Bask and having a child, I stopped teaching pilates for a few years. But I'm so energized to be back at it at Pilates One in Coconut Grove, Miami. I teach Tuesdays and Thursdays!
  • Sunscreen + Kids just got a little easier with this gadget.
  • A perk of being a sunscreen founder is that I get to occasionally visit the resorts that carry Bask. The One & Only Palmilla needs to be added to your list of places to go!

  • Find people and places to play pickleball or tennis any time and anywhere with Break The Love.
  • It's been raining a lot in Miami and the mosquitos have been aplenty. Good time to remind everyone that The Bug Bite Thing exists and is a game changer.

Reading List

Welcome back to Baskforce member and resident #BookTok queen Nicole Pearce (IGTikTok). A bunch of recs coming your way, click the category links to see a video breakdown from Nicole's Instagram:

  • If you liked Empire of Pain —> try The Radium Girls by Kate Moore. Both are essentially about big companies who don't give a s**t about human life. They're infuriating reads but both really good. Empire of Pain is about the Sackler family and Perdue Pharma while Radium Girls is about  a watch company during WWI.
  • If you liked Cultish —> try Hey, Hun by Emily Lynn Paulson. Cultish is about how language is use in cults and things with cult-like followings like MLMs. Hey, Hun is about a woman who joins an MLM gets to the top of the pyramid scheme and becomes disenchanted with it. It was fascinating learning about the inner workings of the company.
  • If you liked Educated —> try Sex Cult Nun by Faith Jones. Both of these authors just had wild upbringing. In Sex Cult Nun the author was born into the children of god cult, while Educated is by an author who was born into a family of doomsday preppers with a dash of cult mixed in.
  • If you liked Know My Name —> try Missoula by Jon Krakauer. Both have heavy subject matter and are about sexual assault and how victims are treated. Missoula is less repetitive than Know My Name but they are both very brave books and are very important.
  • If you liked The Glass Castle —> try The Liars' Club by Mary Carr. Both are memoirs focused on childhood growing up with unstable parents. I loved The Liars Club, the author has two follow up memoirs but The Liars Club is my favorite out of the 3.
