VACATION READING LIST

• Another round-up from Baskforce member and resident #BookTok queen Nicole Pearce (IG, TikTok). This month she's listing all of her To Be Read list for January.
  
  
  • My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent- one of my followers DM'ed me and said it was the most f--ed up book they've ever read but they couldn't put it down and say no more, I'm sold, I can't wait to read this.
  • Intermezzo by Sally Rooney - Years ago I read Normal People and I absolutely loved it, but then I just never read anything else by Sally Rooney and that's silly, so I can't wait to read this one I've heard really good things.
  • Hidden Valley Road by Robert Kolker - The true story of a family in the 1950's of 12 children, 6 are diagnosed with schizophrenia. So, the book goes into the history of studying schizophrenia and looking for a genetic component to it. I'm very interested in reading this one.
  • Danse Macabre by Stephen King - I only read 4 Stephen King books last year and I hope to read a lot more this year. This is the book that's the next stop on my chronological journey through all of his books. My goal for 2025 is to get through most of, if not all all of the books he wrote in the 80's.

• I was reluctant to try these swimsuits from Fair Harbor because they don’t use a mesh liner, and turns out that’s my favorite feature. I have the Bungalow Trunk in black and Seaplane because I also decided it’s way better to have solid color swimsuits than only a bunch of ridiculous prints. 
• I love Duvin, a retro, beachy brand out of Florida. In our little cold spell in Miami these past few weeks I have been wearing their oversized fleece hoodies which I think are perfect apres-beachwear for a summer day in the Northeast. This one comes in Bask yellow. 
• Coconut Grove may just have the most ice cream shops per capital of any neighborhood in America. But the best is hidden in the back of Italian restaurant and market Narbona. The scoops are huge, and mango + coconut is an incredible combo.
