Daily Invisible Gel is BACK! After a month of being out of stock, our fan-favorite latest launch is available to help protect your skin year-round. In July we also had two very exciting New York moments! We hosted our first-ever brand event at the Gansevoort Rooftop with 724 Collective where we created a delicious custom cocktail in partnership with LALO tequila. We also collaborated with the cult-followed Caffe Panna and Pop-Up Grocer to make our own ice cream flavor: Bask Coconut Punch.

Saying See You Later to Summer

While summer is arguably our favorite season (duh), we enjoy all others too! As the warmest weather of the year comes to an end we'd like to remind everyone that just because UVs are dipping doesn't mean the SPF stops. Even though that summer glow may be fading away, here are a few things that we're looking forward to this fall:
  • Vacations sans tourists - There's nothing quite like pulling up to check-in and not having to wait 20 min to get your key card, or having to compete for a pool chair like it's the Hunger Games. Fall is the perfect time for a quick trip or a post-summer destressing retreat.
  • Less sweat - While our formulas are water and sweat-resistant for up to 80 min, it's nice not to feel like you're in a steam room while trying to get some Vitamin D. Much more comfortable temperatures are ahead!
  • Getting back into a routine - I don't know about you but summertime equals chaos in terms of plans and activities. It's nice to take a minute to slow down and focus on being present in the off-season and spending time with friends and family.

  • Dirty matcha is a matcha latte with an espresso shot. It's kind of an acquired taste, but I'm hooked! The matcha provides tons of antioxidants, is anti-inflammatory, reduces mental and physical stress while the espresso adds an energy boost (and the proverbial "they" say it's great for ADHD).
    • Recipe-1/2 tsp matcha, hot water, lil' bit of honey, milk of choice- blend together or whisk, add the espresso on top.
  • I love Mimi Yoga in Wynwood. It's my favorite yoga studio in Miami, and she is opening up soon in Coconut Grove! If you get a chance to take a class with Mimi Ghandour (the founder), you will feel incredibly powerful, both  physically and mentally, and get an amazing sweat.
  • If you have thick frizzy hair like me this brand is for you. I’ve always had a dry, flakey, itchy scalp and this Ceremonia hair oil has not only fixed that but helped my hair grow longer and makes it incredibly soft with zero frizz.
  • A bunch of my Pilates clients told me about this and I’m so glad they did. The YPB line from Abercrombie is actually performance fabric and made for SWEAT! Everything is sleek and smooth yet super stretchy and great for all kinds of workouts. Best of all at a great price.
  • The Rummage Room is a thrift store in Greenwich CT that sells men’s/women's/kids & accessories and has an amazing assortment. I recently went while visiting my mom and I bought 5 super cute and unique vintage items for my 3-year-old for $5! Highly rec if you find yourself in the area!

  • I legitimately got lost in this Retro TV site for hours the other day. Found a groove with 2000s music videos. Pick your decade, year, and channel, and give it a try!
  • Pura Vida, one of our absolute favorite Miami (or anywhere) restaurants just opened up their first location in NYC. Big fan of the Spicy Tuna Bowl and Toasted Chicken Wrap.
  • I'm a sucker for a kitchen gadget, and they got me good with this 2-in-1 olive oil dispenser/mister. Glass, spray or pour, easy to clean...Full endorsement. This Thing 2024
  • These people in Coconut Grove selling pies from a stand in front of their house make the best Key Lime Pie I've ever had. I consider myself a KLP connoisseur, yes I love the one at Joe's Stone Crab, but Fookem's is the best in all the land. You can order on DoorDash or pick up in the Grove.
  • Love these Faherty Sweater Shirts. Have one in every solid color and a few patterns. They're incredibly comfortable, layer nicely, and have great stretchiness.

Vacation Reading List

Another round-up from Baskforce member and resident #BookTok queen Nicole Pearce (IGTikTok). This month she's reviewing 3 books she read last month and loved as well as a couple of children's books she's reading to her 7mo old daughter:
  • The Women by Kristin Hannah - I loved this! I did find the romantic aspects to be a little cheesy, a little soap opera territory, but I still loved the book and I was totally immersed in the time period.
  • All The Colors of The Dark by Chris Whitaker - Loved, loved, loved. It's fast-paced at the beginning and fast-paced at the end and in the middle it's a little slower-paced. I loved the character development and didn't care that it was a little slower, I still think about these characters today.
  • Big Swiss by Jen Beagin - This is a weird one but it's so funny. It's about a woman who transcribes the sessions of a love and relationship therapist, but it's also a love story. It was bizarre but so fun and made me want to read more by the author.
  • You're My Little Baby by Eric Carle - This book is precious. It has some lift-the-flaps and touch and feel for babies and would make a great book to give at a baby shower.
  • The Cow Said Neigh! by Rory Feek - This one is cute! It rhymes and is about all of the animals on the farm getting their sounds mixed up.
