At Bask, our mission has always been bigger than sunscreen. We started this brand because Mike lost his uncle to melanoma. It's a painful reminder that skin cancer can touch anyone, and that prevention and early detection matter.

One of the simplest but most powerful things you can do for yourself is to get your skin checked by a dermatologist once a year. And right now, after months of summer sun exposure, is the perfect time to book your appointment.

Skin cancer, when found early, is perhaps the most treatable of all cancers with a survival rate in the high 90% range. And a skin check with a dermatologist is the unlock that can save your life. Even if you wear sunscreen every day and have the best sun safety methodologies, we can't stress how important it is to take an hour out of your day once a year to get screened by your derm.
